| Core Tip |
The association between triglyceride glucose (TyG)-related indices and risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD) in adults with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) remains unclear. In this study, TyG-related indices were found to significantly associate with risk of PAD in the MASLD population. Incorporating TyG-related indices could significantly improve predictive accuracy of PAD risk, especially for TyG-waist circumference and TyG-waist-to-height ratio. These findings indicate that TyG-related indices were significantly associated with PAD risk in adults with MASLD, and their addition may associate with modest improvements in risk prediction performance. |
