| Core Tip |
Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder requires continuous, person-centered care because of its heterogeneous symptoms, frequent comorbidities, and lifelong functional challenges. This review critically examines current and potential applications of artificial intelligence in assessment, symptom monitoring, personalized care planning, treatment support, self-management, and clinical decision support, with particular attention to their implications for nursing care. Current evidence remains limited and heterogeneous, and many proposed applications have not yet demonstrated clinically meaningful benefits specifically in adults with adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Artificial intelligence should therefore be regarded as an emerging complementary tool rather than a replacement for professional clinical judgment, with further validation required before routine clinical implementation. |
