Core Tip This randomized trial tested whether adding multisensory stimulation to articulation training improves language function in 108 children with autism spectrum disorder. Its novelty lies in using visual, auditory and tactile input as an adjunct to conventional articulation training, rather than targeting motor output alone. The combined intervention was associated with a higher response rate (92.59% vs 77.78%), better Sign-Significate relations comprehension, expression, Frenchay and Autism Behaviour Checklist scores, and only mild transient adverse events. However, the observation group received substantially more therapy time and therapist attention, a major confounder; these findings are hypothesis-generating and require blinded multicenter confirmation.
