Core Tip	Fibrovascular polyp (FVP) are rare benign tumor-like lesion of the esophagus. Complete surgical resection is the traditional treatment for FVP. Notably, with advances in technology, transoral resection of esophageal lesions (primarily involving laryngoscopy and gastrointestinal endoscopy) has become increasingly feasible. However, resection of long-pedunculated polyps presents a major technical challenge. Once the pedicle is severed, the mass may fall into the distal esophagus or stomach, making retrieval difficult and potentially necessitating additional surgical intervention. This study reports a novel method that uses a Sengstaken-Blakemore tube to prevent this complication. To the best of our knowledge, this method has not been previously reported.
