| Core Tip |
In this retrospective cohort of gastrointestinal subepithelial lesions measuring 1.5-4.0 cm and selected for endoscopic resection, preoperative endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) assessment provided information on lesion origin, depth, morphology, and relationships with surrounding structures that could inform individualized procedure selection. The EUS-assessed group showed a higher complete resection rate and a lower overall complication rate; however, the nonrandomized grouping and possible treatment-selection bias should be considered when interpreting these associations. |
