Core Tip This landmark study evaluated whether patient-reported outcomes assessed 1 year after curative-intent resection for stage I non-small-cell lung cancer were associated with subsequent recurrence and survival. Among 232 patients alive and recurrence-free at the landmark, global health status, fatigue, and dyspnea showed distinct associations with recurrence, while dyspnea was associated with overall survival and fatigue showed a borderline association in the primary model. These findings suggest that postoperative patient-reported outcomes may provide complementary prognostic information during long-term survivorship.
