Core Tip |
We report a patient with > 20 cm hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) who successfully received liver transplantation (LT) after two conversions. He was first converted to selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) eligibility with transarterial chemoembolization and infusion chemotherapy combined with systemic therapy and then converted to LT with SIRT and continued systemic therapy. This is significant because few patients with huge (> 10 cm in diameter) HCC and PVTT can receive curative treatments or curative treatments after one conversion. |
