Core Tip |
When encountering pleural effusion infection. In clinical laboratory practice, prioritizing attention towards less common bacteria such as Actinobacillus or Streptobacillus species within the HACEK group is crucial. By extending culture time and enhancing culture conditions to improve the isolation and identification of pathogens, detection rates can be significantly augmented. For laboratories, expediting and accurately identifying pathogens plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient treatment outcomes. |
