"As a frequent researcher and a reviewer for WJP, I would like to humbly offer a smart suggestion to further improve the efficiency of the Baishideng Publishing Group (BPG):
Suggestion:
Consider developing a more intuitive "Interactive File Exchange Module" within the F6 Publishing System.
Proposed Features:
Dedicated Drop-zone: A specific area within the "Author Comments" or "Production Query" section where authors can drag and drop large image files (TIFF/PNG) or tables directly, bypassing email size limits.
Version Control: A simple interface to manage different versions of figures (e.g., "Figure 2D_v2") to avoid confusion between the production team and the authors.
Real-time Status Tags: Indicators showing whether the editor has successfully downloaded the file or if the file is pending review.
Benefit:
This enhancement would significantly reduce the back-and-forth emails regarding missing files and ensure that high-resolution figures and supplementary data are archived securely and efficiently.
I truly appreciate your consideration of this suggestion. Thank you for fostering such a supportive environment for scholars."

It takes numerous months before reviewers are found. The system could be improved by slimlining the entire submission process. Other journals take 1-2 for complete publication."

"Regrettably, my experience with the editorial process has been highly negative. The manuscript was initially accepted for publication, and I was duly notified and provided with the galley proofs for correction. Months later, however, I was informed that the article could not be published as it allegedly did not comply with the journal's editorial guidelines—despite the fact that I had already reviewed and returned the corrected proofs.
Following a subsequent revision of the manuscript and a second formal notification of acceptance, I was informed weeks later of an allegation stating the manuscript had been generated using AI. I promptly and thoroughly addressed these claims. Thereafter, the galley proofs were resent to me once again.
I am deeply disappointed by the handling of the peer-review and editorial process regarding my manuscript, as well as by the extensive and unwarranted delays incurred"

"As an author who has successfully published in World Journal of Gastroenterology, I would like to offer a very positive assessment of its submission and publication process. From submission to final online publication, the entire workflow has been efficient, transparent, and highly professional. The editorial office performs rapid initial screening and timely peer review, and the reviewers’ comments are rigorous and constructive, which significantly improved the scientific quality of our manuscript.
What is particularly commendable is the editorial team’s warm and patient communication. They responded thoughtfully to all inquiries (such as layout adjustments and proofreading) and provided detailed, humanized support. The typesetting process was meticulous, figures were clear, and the language polishing was professional – the final PDF proof was of excellent quality.
Moreover, the online pre‑publication tracking system is updated promptly, allowing authors to monitor the status of their manuscript in real time. The timeline from acceptance to publication is well controlled. Notably, for young scholars who urgently need a published paper for degree requirements, the editorial office even offers expedited handling on a case‑by‑case basis, demonstrating a strong sense of academic humanism.
In summary, World Journal of Gastroenterology is a journal that combines high academic standards with a service‑oriented, author‑friendly approach. I would be very pleased to submit my future work to it again."
