"I fully recognize the journal's credibility in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. First, its consistent inclusion in SCIE ensures the academic standards of published articles, and the clear scope (focusing on basic research, clinical trials, and translational studies of gastrointestinal malignancies) aligns with the core needs of researchers in this discipline. Second, the editorial board includes renowned experts in the field—their oversight gives me confidence in the journal's ability to screen high-quality, topic-relevant research. Additionally, the open-access model of the journal has helped my article reach a wider audience , further reflecting its influence and credibility among peers.
The peer review process was professional, efficient, and constructive—this is one of the most impressive parts of my experience. The reviewers provided targeted comments: they not only pointed out minor flaws in the statistical analysis of my clinical data but also offered specific suggestions for optimizing the discussion section Moreover, the review timeline was transparent and punctual: I received the first review comments within 3 weeks, and the revised manuscript was processed quickly, with the final acceptance decision made in just over 1 month. The editors also maintained timely communication throughout, updating me on the review progress and clarifying questions about the comments promptly—this professionalism greatly reduced my anxiety during the process.
Overall, my publication experience with the journal was excellent, and I would highly recommend it to colleagues working in gastrointestinal oncology."

"Dear Editors,
We are very satisfied with the entire editorial and publication process of our article. The communication was clear, efficient, and professional throughout, and we are grateful for the opportunity to publish in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
We would just like to mention one small detail regarding the final layout of the article: Figures 3, 6, 8, and 11 contain empty spaces that could have been filled with additional images to optimize the figure composition. I had contacted the graphics editor with this suggestion, but it was not accepted in the final version.
This is a minor point and does not affect our overall satisfaction with the publication. Once again, thank you for your attention and for the excellent work of the editorial team.
Kind regards,
Alexandre Gomes"

"There are no specific comments to be done besides one general comment. I want to suggest that the editor should check and removes irrelevant or clearly false reviews before sending them to the authors or ask from the reviewers to recheck their review. For example in our case one reviewer insisted on asking for declaring the search strategy concerning the articles commentated in our mini review. The reviewer falsely though that our manuscript was a systematic review even if nowhere in our title/ methods ore anywhere else in our manuscript was something like that even implied....The reviewer did not even pay attention to the characterisation that the editor had given to the manuscript that the reviewer accepted to review....The funniest of al is that even when in the ''answer to reviewers'' letter we explained to the reviewer that our article was a mini review he kept insisting on his original comment....."

"Unfortunately the peer review time needed was quite long and one of the review report was not very professional with good quality of the review (unsure how qualified was the reviewer to assess the scientific quality of a systematic review).
The delays in getting articles peer reviewed result in delay of the publication process and other authors may publish in the same domain reducing the impact of papers submitted to the Journal.
Hope and wish the WJD gets better quality papers and peer reviewers in future.
