"Low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (LAMNs) are a class of histologically well differentiated adenoma. For LAMNs with a mass formation at the appendiceal orifice, if there is no metastatic lesion indicated by imaging, the appendix and the mass at the appendiceal orifice need to be completely resected. Our technique mainly targets a mass about 1 cm from the appendix opening. We made the first pouch 1cm from the root of the appendix, thus ensuring the anatomical integrity of the ileocecal valve. However, if a conventional cutting closure is used, the anatomy of the ileocecal flap may be destroyed."

"Overall, this has been a highly satisfactory submission experience. The entire process—from initial submission, peer review, manuscript revision, acceptance, to final online publication—was remarkably efficient. However, I would propose limiting language editing to two critical stages: the initial submission and the finalized version prior to acceptance. Requiring language certification with every revision could lead to unnecessary delays and impose additional financial burdens on authors."

"This systematic review examines transformative applications of deep learning (DL) in esophageal carcinoma (EC) imaging diagnostics, identifying three paradigm-shifting developments: (1) Subclinical lesion detection achieving superior sensitivity compared to conventional diagnostic thresholds, (2) Cross-modal feature integration enabling precision prognostic stratification, and (3) Artificial intelligence-driven workflow optimizations that significantly reduce diagnostic latency. Current limitations demanding methodological scrutiny include restricted generalizability of single-institution models and insufficient validation of interpretability frameworks. To bridge these translational gaps, we advocate a coordinated roadmap: (a) Establishment of ethically governed multi-institutional imaging repositories with longitudinal clinical annotations, and (b) Collaborative development of inherently interpretable DL systems paired with regulatory-aligned validation protocols. Strategic resolution of these challenges promises to advance DL technologies beyond experimental status into clinically validated decision-support tools, potentially enabling population-level precision screening initiatives for global EC mortality reduction."

"Overall, the entire editorial process, from manuscript submission to publication, was adequate; however, I have two observations.
1. I find the mandatory English edition requirement without considering the reviewers' comments inappropriate.
2. I also find the requirement for certification of statistical analysis inappropriate, given that we are researchers affiliated with academic institutions, and many of us have statistical training.
I have published more than 200 articles in high-impact journals, and this is the only publisher that requires these two requirements.
Finally, I believe the time taken from article acceptance to online publication is excessive. The timeframe could be shortened."

"The submission and revision process demonstrated commendable efficiency, with the peer review cycle providing scientifically rigorous and constructive feedback that substantially enhanced the manuscript's clarity and impact. I am also quite satisfied with the review cycle, and the review comments are very relevant, which helps to improve the quality of the article. A small suggestion is that I have encountered two proofreading processes, and I think the first proofreading of the Word version was not very meaningful."

"Our paper was reviewed in detail and was a good original paper. In addition, the time between receipt and publication was short, which we consider to be a very good thing. The figures were also nicely illustrated, and except for the slightly high publication fee, we consider this to be the best journal."
