Core Tip Elobixibat is effective in improving bowel movements in patients with chronic constipation. Furthermore, there were no significant differences in treatment efficacy or incidence of adverse events between elderly patients and younger patients with chronic constipation. With its high clinical efficacy in treating chronic constipation in elderly patients and its low incidence of adverse events, elobixibat appears to be a viable treatment option for elderly patients.
