Core Tip |
Research has found a close correlation between Golgi apparatus function and the survival of cancer cells. This study elucidates that elevated expression of flotillin-1 (FLOT1) promotes the proliferation, migration, and invasion capabilities of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), as well as the mechanism by which FLOT1 inhibits mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1/2 by ubiquitination, leading to the dephosphorylation and nuclear translocation of the transcription factor transcription factor E3, thereby activating the Golgi stress response and further promoting the malignant biological behavior of HCC. These findings underscore the potential of the lipid raft protein FLOT1 as a promising therapeutic target for HCC treatment in clinical practice. |
