This article discussed the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and the development of metabolic dysfunction and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) based on the study by Ye et al. Their study concluded that H. pylori may play a role in metabolic disturbances (especially in parameters including blood glucose, body mass index, and diastolic blood pressure) and MASLD. There are also other studies in different populations that confirmed the association between H. pylori infection and MASLD. |
