| Core Tip |
This study demonstrates that integrating obesity metrics with the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index significantly enhances the prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes. The derived indices, particularly TyG-body mass index (TyG-BMI), showed superior predictive performance for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, cesarean delivery, and large-for-gestational-age infants compared to the TyG index alone. These findings highlight that simple, cost-effective composite indices like TyG-BMI can serve as useful tools for early identification of high-risk pregnancies, offering significant clinical value. |
