| Core Tip |
This meta-analysis aimed to obtain an accurate evaluation of the association between high expression of epithelial cellular adhesion molecule (EpCAM) and gastric cancer (GC) risk. EpCAM-positive cases were significantly associated with tumor size, depth of invasion, TNM stage, tumor location, histologic differentiation and lymph node metastasis. EpCAM contributed to GC risk, and acted as a prognostic factor and a marker of poor outcome. |
