Core Tip |
Although the introduction of a vaccine against hepatitis B virus (HBV) has been highly effective in reducing the incidence and prevalence of HBV infection in many countries, an estimated 257 million people worldwide are chronically infected. In 2015, WHO published the guidelines for prevention, care and treatment of HBV infected people promoting treatment based on noninvasive assessment. This real-world large-scale cohort study provides appropriate planning for public health programs, as well as the specific characteristics of patients, thus contributing to the successful, efficient translation of new knowledge to management and treatment of HBV patients to eradicate HBV. |
