Gastric cancer (GC) has become one of the main threats to human life and health. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to act as promoters and inhibitors in GC. In this study, the effect of miR-331 on cell metastasis and tumor growth was illuminated in GC. The results showed that miR-331 was downregulated in GC, which predicted poor prognosis in GC patients. Moreover, overexpression of miR-331 inhibited cell metastasis and tumor growth in GC cells. Further, musashi1 (MSI1) is a direct target gene of miR-331. MiR-331 inhibited GC progression through the suppression of MSI1. |
