Core Tip |
The present systematic review and meta-analysis shows results regarding the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs reducing the incidence of post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis (PEP). This review would be the first to be held in Latin America with a large number of randomized controlled trials. The present manuscript shows how the use of diclofenac and indomethacin rectally before endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography would reduce the incidence of mild PEP in both high, medium and low risk patients. |
