Core Tip Artificial intelligence (AI) has been the center of medical information of the 21st century and we have witnessed the tremendous change it triggers in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. Gastrointestinal endoscopy is the core element to the clinical procedures in modern gastroenterology for it provides the direct evidence and directs the ways of precise diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, in our review, we generalized the latest findings of AI assisted gastrointestinal endoscopy concerning its applications to the diagnosis and treatment to gastrointestinal diseases.
