Core Tip The efficacy of novel glucose-lowering drugs in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is unknown. The results of this meta-analysis showed that treatment with dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, and sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors demonstrated improvements in serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels, indicating beneficial effect on the improvement of liver injury.
