Core Tip |
It is very important to identify the infantile-onset inflammatory bowel disease (IO-IBD) patients especially those who were caused by monogenic diseases as early as possible because these patients have poor responses to traditional inflammatory bowel disease treatments. However, there are no simple and reliable laboratory indicators for early differential diagnosis. This manuscript was the first study focusing on the laboratory indicators which could be used to distinguish the IO-IBD patients from allergic enteritis patients, as well as screening the IO-IBD patients with monogenic diseases. We believe that these results may be valuable in the initial investigations and diagnosis of IO-IBD. |
