Core Tip |
This study aimed to assess the correlation between cerebral blood flow (CBF) measured by 3D arterial spin labeling (3D-ASL), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression, and diabetes-associated cognitive dysfunction (DACD) in a rat model of type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Our result showed low CBF in the hippocampus and decreased VEGF expression might be crucial in DACD. CBF measured on 3D-ASL might serve as a noninvasive imaging biomarker for cognitive impairment associated with T2DM. This study would help in the early detection of DACD and guide treatment. |
