Key Words Degenerative diseases; Lumbar spine; Pedicle screw design; Pedicle screw loosening
Core Tip The published data on pedicle screw design contribution to pedicle screw stability remain controversial. According to the results of the study, the significance of screw parameters influence was comparable to those of patient- and surgery-related factors. Pedicle screw loosening rate was influenced by helical pitch, inner and outer diameter, while geometry of screws and thread type were insignificant factors.
