Core Tip Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most widespread hepatic disorder. Recently re-named as metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), it has been lately pointed out as a predisposing factor for severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We herein discuss the epidemiology and possible underlying pathways predisposing severe COVID-19 in NAFLD/MAFLD patients.
