| Core Tip |
To our experience, this research is the first to compare the complications and survival outcomes in acute liver failure (ALF) and end-stage chronic liver disease (ESCLD) children post-paediatric liver transplantation (PLT). This study has not only shown that survival in the ALF group is significantly inferior post-PLT but also showed a different pattern of survival where ALF survival is mostly affected in the first year post-transplant and then stabilizes, while ESCLD survival declines steadily over time. |
