In this study, we utilized bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data and machine learning techniques to identify and validate four immune feature genes associated with diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM). Notably, retinol binding protein 7 and proenkephalin showed significantly elevated expression in cardiomyocytes and interstitial cells in DCM, as confirmed by single-cell RNA-seq and molecular experiments, highlighting their robust diagnostic potential. Furthermore, single-cell RNA-seq data revealed abnormal cellular phenotype transformations and communications in DCM, particularly between fibroblasts and macrophages. |
