The core tip of this manuscript is to assess platelet indices and their ability to predict the poor glucoregulation in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Accordingly, these platelet indices such platelet distribution width, mean platelet volume, platelet large cell ratio, and plateletcrit were show different level of specificity, sensitivity, area under the curve, and cutoff value, and were identified as potential markers of poor glucoregulation in type 2 diabetic patients. So, these platelet indices could be used in the follow up of patients with T2DM, especially in developing nations like Ethiopia. |
