Core Tip |
Intestinal Behçet's disease (BD) is the gastrointestinal manifestation of BD, characterized primarily by intestinal ulcerations. The differential diagnosis of intestinal BD is challenging, the disease course is prolonged, and surgical intervention is often necessary to achieve cure or remission. Despite surgical treatment, postoperative recurrence and reoperation rates remain high. Understanding the timing of surgery and factors associated with postoperative recurrence is critical for standardized surgical and follow-up management of patients with intestinal BD. |
