| Core Tip |
Jejunostomy feeding in patients undergoing gastrectomy for cancer significantly improves postoperative nutritional status and reduces complications. A study of 172 patients showed that those with jejunostomy had less weight loss, better albumin levels, and fewer respiratory, infectious, and grade 3 complications compared to those without jejunostomy. Overall morbidity was lower, though 30-day mortality rates were similar between the groups. |
