Core Tip |
Inflammation mediated by the cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase (cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling pathway is closely related to the occurrence and development of diabetes and its complications. This article focuses on the specific mechanism of cGAS-STING signaling pathway in mediating inflammatory response as well as the role of cGAS-STING signaling in complications such as diabetes, diabetic gastroenteropathy, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, along with the role of transmission pathways and the related research progress. |
