Core Tip |
This study investigates how the location of gastric cancer (GC) impacts prognosis by analyzing data from 3287 patients who underwent gastrectomy. It reveals that clinicopathological factors, including gender, age, and serum levels of carcinoembryonic antigen, carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9, and CA72-4, significantly influence tumor location. Notably, GC located in the “lower” and “middle” regions correlates with a better overall survival compared to other locations. These findings underscore the importance of tumor location in predicting patient outcomes and guiding postoperative management strategies. |
