Core Tip	Timely identification of colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential in lowering both the occurrence and death rates linked to the illness. It has been shown that serum lipids and insulin resistance (IR) markers can be a useful biomarker for detecting CRC in patients. This article retrospectively analysed 277 CRC patients and investigated the clinical diagnostic value of a combination of IR indicators, including the triglyceride-glucose index and atherosclerotic index, with cancer antigens as a novel diagnostic marker for colon cancer.
