Core Tip |
Furthermore, it has been observed that the human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-B27 allele behaves differently depending on the age of the individual. In individuals with HLA-B27 positivity over the age of seven, there is a significantly increased likelihood of developing uveitis compared to those under the age of seven. Despite this, systemic therapy appears to be equally effective in both groups, albeit with delayed administration in children with chronic idiopathic uveitis. |
