| Core Tip |
This study explores the role of insulin autoantibodies (IAA) and their impact on albuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Our findings reveal that elevated D-dimer levels are a significant risk factor for abnormal albuminuria, particularly in the presence of IAA. This highlights a complex interaction between autoimmune responses to insulin and coagulation abnormalities, emphasizing the importance of monitoring D-dimer levels in T2DM patients with IAA for early detection and management. |
