Core Tip This study demonstrated that multiple injections of autologous adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells combined with collagen III accelerated the burn wound healing process by increasing collagen deposition and by improved angiogenesis. Moreover, the autologous adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells had no long-term survival in the skin wound healing process. This study showed different insights in the treatment of skin wound healing. Further detailed investigations are needed to fully understand the therapeutic mechanism of this innovative strategy.
