Routine resurfacing was associated with lower revision rates and higher patient satisfaction compared to non-resurfacing, but significant regional and institutional variability highlights the need for tailored, patient-specific approaches. Future research should focus on high-quality, prospective trials with standardized outcomes to clarify the long-term benefits and risks of different resurfacing strategies, guiding optimal clinical decisions in knee arthroplasty. |
