| Core Tip |
The daily consumption of fermented milk containing Lacticaseibacillus paracasei Shirota significantly altered the gut microbiota among individuals in Indonesian elderly houses. Notably, these changes included increases in Bifidobacterium and Succinivibrio and a decrease in the Rikenellaceae RC9 gut group. These modifications are associated with an improvement in the gut environment, as indicated by elevated butyrate levels. |
