Core Tip |
Recent research showed that tissue factor (TF) and tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) are associated with inflammatory reactions, and they are expressed in many kinds of tissue and cells. There are few reports about the relationship between TF and TFPI and ulcerative colitis (UC). In this study, we performed immunohistochemical staining for TF and TFPI expression in tissue of UC and normal colon, to determine their association with UC and their significances in pathogenesis. The study results suggest that TF and TFPI may play an important role in the pathogenesis of UC. |
