Cancer diagnosis impacts patients' physical and mental health. This editorial comments on resilience’s role in cancer patients' quality of life (QoL). We clarify the interrelationships among resilience, coping styles, and QoL, emphasize the moderating role of three coping style dimensions on QoL, and reveal the longitudinal impact of dynamic resilience across the cancer trajectory. We propose interventions targeting coping flexibility and emphasize integrating coping assessments into care plans to enhance patients' resilience and QoL. |
