Core Tip |
The clinical manifestations of biliary complications after liver transplantation are typically non-specific. If not detected and treated in a timely manner, these complications can lead to a decline in the patient’s quality of life and may even impact the recipient’s survival rate. Ultrasound, as the preferred imaging method for post-liver transplantation, is highly effective in diagnosing both vascular and parenchymal liver complications. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound has been shown to improve contrast in the bile duct wall and for detecting micro-perfusion and is increasingly being implemented in clinical practice for assessing biliary complications post-liver transplantation. |
