Core Tip |
Endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation has emerged as a promising minimally invasive approach for managing pancreatic tumors, providing a valuable alternative for patients who are poor surgical candidates. It effectively achieves significant tumor size reduction, symptom relief, and, in selected cases, prolonged survival, especially in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and cystic lesions. Despite a favorable safety profile, including low rates of major complications, standardization of protocols and further technological advancements such as artificial intelligence integration and combination therapies are essential for optimizing treatment outcomes and broadening clinical applicability. |
