Core Tip |
Decision regarding the management in patients with esophageal gastrointestinal tumors (EGISTs) is very challenging, because there are still no clear guidelines on the treatment of these tumors that is associated with their rarity. Currently, surgery remains the mainstay treatment in patients with EGISTs. Recently, the endoscopic approach as a less invasive, but safe and effective treatment option for low-risk EGISTs has been introduced. |
