Core Tip This systematic review found that race has an impact on the electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters that reflect cardiac adaptations in adolescent athletes. Black athletes tend to have an increased prevalence of distinct changes such as first-degree atrioventricular block, T-wave inversions with thicker septal and posterior walls compared with their White counterparts.
