| Core Tip |
The use of point-of-care ultrasound in the Emergency Department enable early diagnosis and timely intervention, in a 13-year-old girl with ovarian torsion, presented with acute gastrointestinal symptoms, leading to a favorable outcome. This case supports the integration of bedside ultrasound as a fifth pillar of clinical examination, especially in the Emergency Department. |
