Core Tip |
Gingival recession is the migration of the gingival margin apical to the cemento-enamel junction. A variety of surgical procedures have been described for the correction and management of mucogngival deformities and defects, with a variable degree of success. However, it should be emphasized that shallow recessions are subject to progression, but there are no case reports or controlled clinical trials to compare the effects of gingival massaging in the treatment of gingival recessions. The aim of our study was to compare in terms of root coverage the effect of gingival massaging using an ayurvedic product and semilunar coronally repositioned flap to assess the treatment outcomes in the management of Miller’s class I gingival recessions over a 6 mo period. |
