This study investigates the causal role of inflammatory factors in the risk of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) using Mendelian randomization and Bayesian Weighted Mendelian randomization analyses. Elevated levels of artemin and matrix metalloproteinase-10 were significantly associated with increased ICC risk, suggesting their potential as risk factors and therapeutic targeting. These results highlight the crucial role of inflammatory factors within the tumor microenvironment in ICC development, offering new insights for targeted interventions. |
