| Core Tip |
This real-world retrospective cohort study investigated the psychocardiological impact of depression on heart failure outcomes. Depression severity, measured by the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, was associated with poorer medication adherence, reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, and higher 1-year readmission risk. These findings underscore the need to incorporate psychosocial screening and interventions into routine heart failure management. |
