Core Tip |
Our paper collaborated with the opinion of the others authors in the literature about the importance of intravitreal injection of bevacizumab (IVB) in severe or complex cases of diabetic retinal detachment. [1] These very difficult cases when done without the use of IVB, has high rate of intraoperative and postoperative bleeding and worse final outcome. [1] The strong point of our work is the average follow-up of 33.90 ± 22.97, ranging 6-84 months and the number of eyes submitted to surgery in this period (84 eyes). The weakness of our paper is to be retrospective without control group. |
