Liberal fluid therapy may be an alternative to pharmacological therapy in the prevention of postoperative nausea-vomiting (PONV) because of its low cost and few side effects. This study investigated the effect of liberal fluid therapy and restrictive fluid therapy in the prevention of PONV after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Perioperative liberal fluid therapy reduced the incidence of PONV and improved the quality of postoperative recovery in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. |
