Core Tip |
This study aimed to investigate the impact of blood transfusion on postoperative inflammation and stress markers in gastric cancer patients undergoing radical gastrectomy, and its correlation with prognosis. Perioperative blood transfusion is associated with increased postoperative inflammation, stress reactions, complication rates, and adverse prognosis in gastric cancer patients. Reducing unnecessary transfusions can improve postoperative recovery and long-term prognosis. |
