| Core Tip |
This study prospectively evaluated the predictive value of systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) combined with serum lactoferrin (LF) levels for survival outcomes in older patients with colon cancer undergoing radical surgery. Dynamic monitoring demonstrated that preoperative SII and LF levels were independent predictors of overall survival and disease-free survival. The findings suggest that SII and LF serve as simple and effective prognostic biomarkers, providing valuable guidance for individualized treatment strategies and postoperative recurrence risk assessment in elderly colon cancer patients. |
